More than anything, this book is about making time for creativity through watercolor painting…even if you’ve never painted before!

I do all the illustrations in my Forest Feast cookbooks and in The Watercolor Feast, I teach you how to do it, too. Together we will paint fruits, vegetables and edible flowers. This book is great for kids and adults alike!

I also offer a recipe idea for each tutorial, so when you’re done painting something, you can eat it!

A session of watercolor painting could be alone, with kids, with friends or with family. You can host a watercolor gathering (like I did below) or pull out your paints on a lunch break.

People always ask what supplies I use. I’ve tried many different supplies over the years and these are my current favorites. Look for these at your local art store, or find them online.

In general, I prefer cold press (textured) watercolor paper and a very small (size 1, 2 or 3) round/pointy brush. But don’t get too hung up on brands or finding the perfect supplies—use what you have and just paint! The most important thing is to just make some time to be creative.
